The Masterclass

Pop the headphones on and listen to the following masterclass on hearing the voice of the Lord.

  • The following prayer is a powerful one to declare and decree over yourself and your home to help silence the voice of the enemy who may be causing chaos and confusion and preventing you from hearing the voice of the Lord and creating space to hear His voice.

Heavenly Father, I now repent, break, revoke, rebuke and renounce all spirits of fear, doubt, confusion, anxiety and double-mindedness preventing me from communicating with you right now in the Name of Jesus. I muzzle, bind and silence any unclean, demonic, witchcraft and occult spirits with the blood of Jesus and make them null, void and obsolete. I close and seal shut any doorways of the enemy with the blood of Jesus. I declare and decree that I have a mind and heart of Christ, I am a child of the Most High God, I hear my Father’s voice, and I hear my Lord loudly, clearly and confidently. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • Dedicate a sacred space in your home, a prayer closet or room that is comfortable and has your Bible, journal and pen. This is a space where you go to every day to be with the Lord. It’s you and His sanctuary.

You can prepare the space each day by saying -

I plead the blood of Jesus over this room. I send blindness and confusion to the enemy’s camp and all monitoring spirits. I declare this room to be the room of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and Father God. Only the Highest Love of God is permitted in this space. In the Name of Jesus I declare this. Amen.

Sitting in your prayer room declare -

“Lord, here I am! What would you have me know right now? I am here and ready to receive you. I love you. “

You can play some worship music in the background to set the energy of the space. Or you can sit quietly in the silence. Allow His Spirit to lead you into the time with Him. Surrender any expectations on how it’s going to look and unfold.

    You can also pray -

Lord, please set aside my thoughts, wills, ways, perceptions and projections, so I may clearly here Your wills, ways, perceptions and truth for me. Arrange my thoughts and my heart to be Your thoughts and heart, Lord. In Jesus’s Mighty Name, Amen.

  • Fasting is another great way to clear the inner vessel to hear from God. You may wish to fast for a day, a few days, a week or a few weeks, its entirely up to you and what you are being led on by God. It can be just drinking water between 6am-12pm or till 2pm and then having a light meal in the evening or it can be all day of just water and then breaking the fast in the evening. Create a fast that works best for you and your life and ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide on the best ways and times to fast.

  • If you’re ever unsure if the voice you’ve heard is from the Lord, simply question the spirit by saying -

Do you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord & Saviour and came in the flesh?

If you get a no, state that you muzzle and bind it with the blood of Jesus and declare that you will only hear God’s voice in the Name of Jesus.

  • My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:27-28)

But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. (Deuteronomy 4:29-31)

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! (Psalm 46:10)

Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. (Psalm 37:3-7)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; (Isaiah 1:19)

Paul writes, “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed – not only in my presence but now much more in my absence – continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his purpose. (Philippians 2:12-13)

Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:9-13)

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! (Revelation 3:15-16)

I tell you: ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and everyone who seeks, finds; and to everyone who knocks the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-13)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
