Allow Yourself To Receive God’s Love and Support
A lot of my worship time happens whilst driving my car. As I was driving down the highway early this morning after dropping my child at school I found myself speaking in tongues and going into a conversation with the Lord.
As we were communicating the Lord revealed to me how I had denied His love and support. How for too long I’d been living in self sufficiency and a mindset of “I must do it all on my own.”
Self sufficiency and that toxic mindset had led me down a path of exhaustion, anxiety, health issues and struggle.
When the Lord revealed this block in my heart towards Him I felt convicted to repent for not allowing my Creator to love and support me.
So I said the following prayer -
In the Name of Jesus, I now repent for the spirit of self sufficiency.
I repent for all the times I have not allowed God to love, guide and support me.
I repent for the belief that it’s all on me to figure out and work out on my own in my own will, ways and strength.
I repent Lord for denying your love and support and for closing my heart to You.
Please forgive me. Please set me free from this bondage of self sufficiency and denial of your love and support so I may receive the love and support you desire to bless me with.
In Jesus’s Mighty Name,
Amen.
God wants to love on you, support you and show you the way to a better life living in His beautiful glory but He can’t do that whilst you’re choosing to stay stuck in self-sufficiency, ego and a mindset that it’s all on you to do, control and figure out.
I’ve spent a vast majority of my life being a control freak and trying to be in charge of everything and it’s been a humbling process to hand that over to God and allow His Holy Spirit to lead and guide me.
But what I’ve found is that when you live life for God and allow His Spirit to love, lead, support and guide you the burden lifts, the heaviness dissolves and you realise it was never on you to do it all or to figure it all out, it’s on the Lord’s hands to do and figure out.
He will show you the way.
And He wants you to surrender the control, the self-sufficiency, distrust and freaking out to Him so He can reveal a better path and way for you that will lead to more love, joy, peace and freedom in Him.
Trust and have faith.
All is well.
Yours in Christ,
Ellen xoxo
Lord, I surrender all the ways in which I’ve been controlling, manipulative, fearful and distrusting. I break agreement with this now in the Name of Jesus. Please restore my heart, mind, body and spirit to receive and become an embodiment of Your love, peace, support, beauty and grace, Lord. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
